'Flower Of Evil' Ratings Hold Steady Amidst Widespread Changes In Drama Broadcast Schedules

Amidst a flurry of unexpected changes to drama broadcast schedules, viewership ratings for tvN’s “Flower of Evil” have remained relatively stable.

According to Nielsen Korea, the August 26 episode of the suspense thriller starring Lee Joon Gi and Moon Chae Won scored an average nationwide rating of 3.5 percent and a peak of 4.1 percent. Among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, the drama scored an average nationwide rating of 2.0 percent and a peak of 2.3 percent for the night.

Meanwhile, other Wednesday-Thursday dramas scheduled to air last night, such as JTBC’s “Was It Love?” and MBC’s “When I Was the Most Beautiful,” canceled their broadcasts at the last minute in order to air special news coverage of Typhoon Bavi. Both dramas will resume airing as usual on August 27.

“Flower of Evil” is also one of many dramas that will be changing its broadcast schedule in the weeks ahead, after halting production due to the recent surge in COVID-19 cases. Although “Flower of Evil” will air its August 27 and September 2 episodes as scheduled, the following episodes of the drama have been delayed until further notice.
