Watch: K/DA (Including (G)I-DLE's Soyeon And Miyeon) Returns To Slay With Pre-Release Single "The Baddest"
K/DA is back!
Riot Games’ virtual group K/DA began in 2018 when popular League of Legends champions were transformed into pop idols. K/DA first released their song “POP/STARS,” and it became a smash hit that even topped Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart.
The group is made up of members Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn, and Akali from League of Legends. The K/DA lineup for “POP/STARS” included (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon and Miyeon along with Madison Beer and Jaira Burns, and the four artists performed the track together at the opening ceremony of League of Legends’ 2018 World Championship Finals.
On August 28 KST, K/DA revealed their new song “THE BADDEST” with a lyric music video. The track is a pre-release single for their upcoming debut EP, which is slated to come out later in the year.
This time around, K/DA is composed of Soyeon and Miyeon with new collaborators Bea Miller and Wolftyla. As with “POP/STARS,” the lyrics for “THE BADDEST” are in both Korean and English.
It’s been announced that K/DA has now formed its musical identity around the members of the group (Ahri, Kai’Sa, Evelynn, and Akali), rather than the vocals of particular artists. The artists taking part in “THE BADDEST” and the other tracks on the upcoming EP are therefore known as collaborators, meaning a larger lineup of musicians will be able to take part in the comeback. More info on the roster of artists will be shared via K/DA’s social media accounts later on.
