"Missing: The Other Side" Premieres To Promising Ratings As "Alice" Rises Sharply For 2nd Episode
OCN’s “Missing: The Other Side” and SBS’s “Alice” are both off to strong starts!
“Missing: The Other Side” is a new mystery-fantasy drama about a village inhabited by the souls of people who went missing while they were alive. On August 29, the new drama—which boasts a star-studded cast featuring Go Soo, Heo Joon Ho, Ahn So Hee, Ha Joon, and more—aired its first episode.
Right out of the gate, “Missing: The Other Side” managed to beat the personal ratings record of its predecessor “Train,” the drama that previously occupied its time slot. According to Nielsen Korea, the premiere of “Missing: The Other Side” scored an average nationwide rating of 1.7 percent, surpassing the highest rating achieved by “Train” during its entire run (a nationwide average of 1.4 percent).
Meanwhile, Joo Won and Kim Hee Sun’s new sci-fi action thriller “Alice” enjoyed a significant increase in viewership for its second episode, which scored average nationwide ratings of 6.4 percent and 9.2 percent for its two parts.
KBS 2TV’s popular weekend drama “Once Again” scored average nationwide ratings of 30.2 percent and 35.5 percent, breaking its own personal record for its highest Saturday ratings to date. (Viewership for KBS weekend dramas is typically significantly lower on Saturdays than on Sundays.)
Finally, tvN’s “Forest of Secrets 2” scored an average nationwide rating of 6.0 percent for the night, while JTBC’s “Graceful Friends” rose slightly to an average rating of 4.9 percent.
