How Ji Soo And Ha Seok Jin's Characters In "When I Was The Most Beautiful" Are Different When It Comes To Love

Ji Soo and Ha Seok Jin’s characters in “When I Was the Most Beautiful” are completely different when it comes to love!

“When I Was the Most Beautiful” is a romance melodrama about an art teacher named Oh Ye Ji (Im Soo Hyang) who gets into a love triangle with two brothers (Ji Soo and Ha Seok Jin).

Ji Soo’s character Seo Hwan is a cheerful student with a warm personality, and he first met Oh Ye Ji at school. On the other hand, Ha Seok Jin’s character Seo Jin is a car racer with a burning intensity, and he crossed paths with Oh Ye Ji at the workshop of his father Sung Gon (Choi Jong Hwan). Despite the fact that they’re brothers, they approach Oh Ye Ji in vastly different ways.

First off, Seo Jin is the straightforward type who doesn’t hesitate to open up his heart to the woman he loves. He isn’t afraid to approach Oh Ye Ji with strong feelings, and intrigued by her pure personality, he goes after her heart in a bold manner. He also plays her knight in shining armor by rescuing her from her violent aunt Oh Ji Young (Shin Yi) and makes her feel the thrill of deviance.

When Oh Ye Ji tried to push Seo Jin away, he told her, “I’m not trying to save anyone. I’m trying to lean on you. I’m going to stick myself to the person who keeps their head up even at the worst times.” It seems like his efforts weren’t in vain because she started to take small steps in his direction.

Seo Hwan is the polar opposite of his brother Seo Jin.

Previously, Seo Hwan confessed to Oh Ye Ji, catching both her and the viewers off guard with his bravery. He actually fell in love with her at first sight when he saw her use a lotus leaf as an umbrella on a rainy day. Seo Hwan, who found out Oh Ye Ji can’t sleep without a light, even went on night duty for her and vowed to always shine brightly beside her to protect her from the darkness.

However, his pure heart crashed and burned the day he witnessed his brother and first love kiss on a date. He told her, “[I hate] how I’m young and there’s nothing I can do. [I hate] that I can’t protect you even though someone hurts you, and [I hate] that I can’t stop my brother from going to you. [I hate] that I can’t do anything!” Then he says to her, “Don’t kiss Seo Jin! Don’t hold hands with someone else! Don’t even sit with anyone else!”
