Watch: Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, And More Describe The Fun Atmosphere On Set Of "Record Of Youth"

The upcoming tvN drama “Record of Youth” has shared a look behind-the-scenes of its first filming and more!

“Record of Youth” is about young people who struggle to achieve their dreams and find love amidst the harsh realities of life in the modeling industry. Park Bo Gum plays Sa Hye Joon, an aspiring actor and model; Park So Dam plays Ahn Jung Ha, an aspiring makeup artist; and Byun Woo Seok plays Won Hae Hyo, a model who wants to achieve success on his own terms.

The new video begins with Park Bo Gum as Sa Hye Joon behind the counter of a sandwich shop, taking orders from customers. In an interview, the actor says, “Hye Joon is very rational and independent, and he has a clear set of values. That’s why I’ve learned a lot through this character, and while I’m filming, I’m trying to become more like him.”

Park So Dam adorably gets a lot of love and hugs from her fellow actor Park Se Hyun both on and off-camera as they’re filming as co-workers at a salon. In her interview, Park So Dam says, “You have probably already seen our script reading video. Ever since then, we’ve been very friendly and there’s a lot of laughter on set. I think everyone was feeling nervous but excited as we filmed.”

Byun Woo Seok says about his first filming, “It wasn’t easy. I was nervous too, but later on I was able to have a lot of fun while filming.”

Park Bo Gum comments that the cast is very similar so they were always laughing on set, adding, “That’s why we caused a lot of bloopers.” In one blooper, Byun Woo Seok and Park Bo Gum are filming a scene where they are talking on the street when Park Bo Gum’s bag suddenly slips off his shoulder, making him smile a bit but he continues his line. After a moment, Byun Woo Seok laughs, leading Park Bo Gum to laugh and apologize to the crew.

“The atmosphere on set is very friendly,” says Park Bo Gum in his interview. “I enjoy coming to set.”

In another clip, Park Bo Gum excitedly announces that Jo Woo Jung got her driver’s license for their filming that day. He asks her to say something about it and she laughs and says, “I’m very happy to have got my driver’s license!”

Park Bo Gum is in a full model look for a runway scene when a staff member from the behind-the-scenes filming asks him if he practiced doing model walking. “I did and I also watched videos,” he replies. “I’d do it whenever I had time. Of course, I won’t be as good as current professional models. I asked some people I know and they said that confidence is the most important thing. I guess it’s like that with everything.”

As the video wraps up, Park So Dam says, “I think a lot of viewers will able to relate to the drama’s story and feel healed and comforted.” Byun Woo Seok says, “I was feeling grateful while filming, so I hope that everyone will enjoy it too even just a little bit.” Park Bo Gum shares that he hopes everyone loves the drama a lot.
