On September 13, Oh My Girl’s YooA and Apink’s Namjoo appeared as guests on the SBS Power FM radio show “Cultwo Show.”

Both are members of popular girl groups who recently made their solo debuts. Namjoo released the single “Bird,” which was written by (G)I-DLE’s Soyeon, and YooA released the EP “Bon Voyage.”

Namjoo said, “The other Apink members have done well with their solo albums, so I don’t feel any sense of pressure or responsibility. I just did what I wanted to do. I hope that people will like seeing me in a different light from Apink. The members showed me a lot of support.”

YooA said, “I’m currently acting as an alternate character in promoting solo instead of my usual role in Oh My Girl. I’m promoting the title track ‘Bon Voyage,’ which gives off a feeling of being in nature.”

YooA revealed, “When the agency first suggested I go solo, I refused. I started off as Oh My Girl’s YooA and I wanted to stay until the end as Oh My Girl’s YooA. The agency had a song in mind for me since last year. I didn’t know that, so when they asked me, ‘Do you want to go solo?’, I refused multiple times and said, ‘I’m going to stay with Oh My Girl.’ But the agency persuaded me and I ended up making my solo debut.”

Namjoo also talked about her YouTube channel after YooA shared that she was a big fan. Namjoo said, “It hasn’t been that long since I opened it and I don’t have a lot of subscribers yet. It’s called ‘Three Meals for Namjoo’ and it’s based on the ‘Three Meals a Day’ concept. I just eat whatever comes to mind. I like introducing restaurants that I go to on a daily basis. I like searching up good restaurants and the Apink members often ask me when they’re thinking of food to eat.”
