Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, And Byun Woo Seok Show Passion And Dedication Behind The Scenes Of "Record Of Youth"

tvN’s “Record of Youth” has released new behind-the-scenes photos of its main cast!

“Record of Youth” tells the story of young people struggling to achieve their dreams and find love amid the harsh realities of the modeling industry. The drama stars Park Bo Gum as Sa Hye Joon, an aspiring actor and model. Park So Dam plays Ahn Jung Ha, an aspiring makeup artist, and Byun Woo Seok plays Won Hae Hyo, a model who wants to make a name for himself without relying on his family.

Upon premiering on September 7, “Record of Youth” immediately took first place in its time slot, making it tvN’s first Monday-Tuesday drama to do so.

The three leads have already captured viewers’ attention with their convincing portrayals of three characters surviving the hardships of young adulthood. While they each know exactly what they want in life, their realities just aren’t as crystal clear. Viewers have been strongly relating to their desire to achieve their dreams on their own terms.

According to the drama’s production staff, Park Bo Gum always brightened up the atmosphere on set. As Sa Hye Joon, who tries not to be overcome by his emotions, Park Bo Gum must convey a wide variety of feelings through just his gaze. Although he occasionally feels weak and disappointed, this allows him to become that much more of a strong and mature character.

Park So Dam provides a perfect portrayal of the nonchalant Ahn Jung Ha, who is even able to firmly draw the line when she meets her favorite celebrity Sa Hye Joon. Despite being such a fan, she declares, “My life has to be stable in order for me to provide stable support for someone else.” She has a refreshing personality that allows her to say what needs to be said, but she also never forgets to smile, no matter the situation. Viewers can look forward to how her life unexpectedly changes after she unintentionally lies to Sa Hye Joon.

A model-turned-actor in real life, Byun Woo Seok portrays the harsh reality of trying to succeed on your own as his character Won Hae Hyo attempts to make it as an actor. As two aspiring actors, the characters of Won Hae Hyo and Sa Hye Joon also show off an adorable bromance in the drama.

Byun Woo Seok is said to be extremely passionate on set, having frequent in-depth discussions with the director about specific gestures and the details of his character. Meanwhile, viewers’ curiosity is rising as to what kind of obstacles Won Hae Hyo will face, as well as how his relationship with Sa Hye Joon will change as they become competitors.

The producers of “Record of Youth” commented, “I think their passionate acting and the genuine way Park Bo Gum, Park So Dam, and Byun Woo Seok approached their characters was well-conveyed to viewers. As the plot begins to unfold in earnest, the synergy between these young actors will only get better.”
