Lee Do Hyun Portrays Different Versions Of His High Schooler Character In "18 Again"
JTBC’s upcoming Monday-Tuesday drama “18 Again” shared a new glimpse of Lee Do Hyun in character!
“18 Again,” which is based on the American film “17 Again,” will tell the story of a man on the brink of divorce who suddenly finds himself back in the body of his 18-year-old self, when he was a rising basketball star. Yoon Sang Hyun will play the older version of the protagonist Hong Dae Young, and Lee Do Hyun will star as his teenage counterpart who goes by the name Go Woo Young. Kim Ha Neul will play his wife Jung Da Jung.
In the newly released stills, Lee Do Hyun is ready to captivate viewers with his refreshing high school appearance. In one photo, Lee Do Hyun poses as Go Woo Young. His eyes are wide with puzzlement, and his tousled hair is styled to match the latest trend.
In another photo, Lee Do Hyun transforms into Hong Dae Young. He seems more comfortable and confident in his past self as he softly smirks at the girl in front of him.
Lee Do Hyun talked about his character, saying, “One of Hong Dae Young’s keywords is kkondae (a term that describes an older person who is often condescending or uses their age to justify their actions), so I conversed with various people, got advice from senior actors, and studied the ways of a father and breadwinner in order to portray that.
“18 Again” premieres on September 21 at 9:30 p.m. KST. Check out the latest trailer here!
