Comedian and former Celeb Five member Kim Young Hee is getting married!

On September 20, Kim Young Hee shared a photo of couple figurines on her personal social media account. In the caption, she wrote, “I am getting married to someone who thinks of me more than I do. He boosts me up when I’m down. He is an optimistic and bright person who stays by my side. We’ve come from different paths, but now we’re going to walk as one.”

She added that they had thought of getting married this year, but due to COVID-19, they had pushed it back to next year. She wrote, “I feel cautious about announcing this when when everyone is going through a hard time, but since we’re getting married in such difficult times, we’ve promised to make an even better life together. I will take my time preparing and greet you all when the day comes when we’re able to meet again.”

Her fiancé is Yoon Seung Ryul, a former professional baseball player who is 10 years younger than her. He graduated from a high school famous for its baseball team, joined the Hanwha Eagles in 2011, and played for the team for nine years before retiring in 2019.

Kim Young Hee debuted as a comedian after joining KBS in 2010. She made appearances on various variety shows and joined Kim Shin Young‘s dance group Celeb Five before “graduating” from the group in 2018. She is currently preparing to make her debut as an adult film director.

In an interview with Sports Chosun, Kim Young Hee said, “I was worried, but a lot of people congratulated us, so I’m thankful. A lot of people around me helped out when they heard I was getting married. It felt like I was starting a new life, but I wanted to make sure that I wouldn’t be hurting anyone around me, so I’ve been cautious. I was really nervous before sharing the news on social media, so I’ve been moved by the words of congratulations and support.”

About her fiancé, she said, “He’s someone who is healthy in body and mind. He has an optimistic personality, so I can depend on him a lot. We haven’t fought once while we dated.”
