In Round 2, Fireworks went up against Jade Bead and sang Im Chang Jung’s “You’re Here Too,” and won enough votes from the panel to advance to Round 3.
In Round 3, Fireworks went up against Fireplace Cat and sang Tei’s “Same Pillow,” showing his warm and emotional vocals. Fireplace Cat sang Panic’s “Station,” and advanced to the next round to challenge the champion for the throne.
Fireworks took off his mask to reveal his identity as Teen Top’s Ricky! Teen Top made their debut in 2010. In 2020, several of their songs received renewed attention on social media. The group also celebrated their 10th anniversary this year.
Ricky said that his reason for appearing on the show was to show his label and fellow Teen Top member Niel what he could do. He quipped, “The label had no big expectations for me. They told me that it would be great just to pass Round 1. Niel told me to do well but didn’t put a lot of feeling into it, so that made me mad. But Niel only went to Round 2 [and I went to Round 3]. It’s ironic that I beat the main vocalist.”
