Watch: Park Bo Gum Is The Darling Of His Onscreen Family Behind The Scenes On "Record Of Youth"
Although Park Bo Gum’s character in tvN’s “Record of Youth” might have some family issues, the actors are an affectionate and fun-loving group offscreen!
In one behind-the-scenes video, Park Bo Gum, Byun Woo Seok, and Park So Dam rehearse a scene in which the two actors have to say the same line at the same time. The three of them have a fun time ad-libbing and adding improvisation to the lighthearted scene. The video then moves to Park So Dam and Park Bo Gum filming the scene in which the two confirm each other’s feelings and agree to date.
The video also showcases the relationship between Park Bo Gum and Han Jin Hee, who plays Park Bo Gum’s grandfather on the show. Han Jin Hee flips through a book of his profile photos and jokes, “I don’t look good at all.” In character, Park Bo Gum insists that he looks cool. Later, the two actors are affectionate while filming the scene in the bar with Park So Dam and Kwon Soo Hyun.
The video concludes with Park Bo Gum and Park So Dam practicing how to deliver their lines while Park Bo Gum plays the piano.
Another behind-the-scenes video focuses on scenes that Park Bo Gum filmed with his onscreen family. Although his character has a great relationship with his grandfather and mother, who support his dreams, he often clashes with his brother and father, who are much more realistic and practical about life.
While filming a dinner scene, Ha Hee Ra apologizes to Lee Jae Won for favoring Park Bo Gum’s character, but can’t help laughing at Lee Jae Won’s expression as he gets into character. In the scene where Park Bo Gum’s character gets slapped by his father, the two actors carefully rehearse the angle before Park Bo Gum lightens the mood by accidentally knocking the telephone over and holding his onscreen father’s hand.
“Record of Youth” airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 9 p.m. KST.
