Furthermore, characters who aren’t human but live in the city as Yi Yeon’s and Yi Rang’s allies also appear on the character chart. Gumiho Goo Shin Joo (Hwang Hee) has been a loyal subject of Yi Yeon since his time as the guardian spirit of the Baekdudaegan Mountain Range. Goo Shin Joo now works as a veterinarian while disguised as a human, and he’ll help support Yi Yeon as he gets chased down by Nam Ji Ah. Similarly to Yi Yeon and Goo Shin Joo, Yi Rang has the loyalty of Ki Yoo Ri (Kim Yong Ji), a gumiho originating from a Russian fox. Ki Yoo Ri has transformed into the director of Moz department store, exuding a lofty charm and enjoying a luxurious life.
Tal Eui Pa (Kim Jung Nan) and Hyun Eui Ong (Ahn Gil Kang) are minor government employees who have been working at the Underworld Immigration Office for 600 years with Yi Yeon. The two figures will showcase great chemistry as superiors who will scold Yi Yeon without hesitation and co-workers who can share their inner feelings with each other. Bok Hye Ja (Kim Soo Jin) will play the “snail bride,” from a Korean traditional fable, who also runs a Korean restaurant while delivering information about the monsters and spirits.
The people connected to Nam Ji Ah are her parents who went missing after a strange traffic accident 21 years ago and the people at the broadcasting station working on the show about urban myths that Nam Ji Ah is directing. In addition to team leader Choi (Joo Suk Tae), who was rumored to once be a successful PD, the team also includes scriptwriter Kim Sae Rom (Jung Yi Seo) and assistant director Pyo Jae Hwan (Kim Kang Min), who always bicker with Nam Ji Ah. Viewers are curious to discover what influence they’ll have in finding the truth behind the disappearance of Nam Ji Ah’s parents.
The production team shared, “We produced a character relationship chart so that viewers can more easily approach this novel universe in which humans and characters from traditions coexist. The leading characters Yi Yeon, Nam Ji Ah, and Yi Rang will become entangled with characters from the underworld and this world to create a unique fantasy action romance drama.
