Joo Ji Hoon, Lee Sun Gyun, Park Ju Hyun, And More Confirmed To Star In New Film
The upcoming film “Silence” (working title) has shared its star-studded cast lineup!
“Silence” will tell the story of people who are stranded on a bridge one foggy night as they try to survive an encounter with an unexpected threat that lurks nearby. The film will be helmed by Kim Tae Gon, the director of “Familyhood” (also known as “Goodbye Single”), and produced by Dexter Studios, the production company behind the wildly successful “Along with the Gods” film series and the recent hit “Ashfall.”
Previously in talks for the new film, Lee Sun Gyun has been confirmed to play the role of Cha Jung Won, who faces disaster in the middle of the bridge with his daughter Kyung Min, who will be portrayed by child actress Kim Soo An. “Silence” will mark Lee Sun Gyun’s first-ever disaster film.
Joo Ji Hoon will take on the role of Joe Park, a tow truck driver who wanders the perimeters of the bridge, looking for work.
The film also stars Kim Hee Won, and he will portray Dr. Yang, who crosses the bridge when he’s in the midst of transferring goods for his job.
Meanwhile, Moon Sung Geun and Ye Soo Jung will be the elderly couple Byung Hak and Soon Ok, and Park Hee Bon and Park Ju Hyun will play sisters Mi Ran and Yoo Ra. Park Ju Hyun is currently starring in KBS 2TV’s “Zombie Detective.”
Actor Kim Tae Woo will round out the main cast as Cha Jung Won’s one-of-a-kind senior Jung Hyun Baek.
“Silence” will begin filming in October.
