Watch: Idols Face Off Virtually In "2020 Idol Star eSports Championships" Teasers
Teasers have been released for the “2020 Idol Star eSports Championships – Chuseok Special”!
Instead of MBC’s biannual “Idol Star Athletics Championships,” which cannot be held indoors due to social distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 pandemic, the network will be airing two stand-alone idol competition shows over the Chuseok holidays. This includes the eSports championship and a dog agility competition.
The upcoming special will feature idols going head-to-head in two different mobile games: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Mobile and KartRider Rush+.
This year’s lineup of competitors includes members of NCT, MONSTA X, SF9, The Boyz, IZ*ONE, (G)I-DLE, LOONA, Oh My Girl, PENTAGON, AB6IX, WJSN, Lovelyz, Golden Child, CRAVITY, N.Flying, WEi, APRIL, ONF, GWSN, and DONGKIZ, along with soloists Park Ji Hoon, Ha Sung Woon, Kim Jae Hwan, and Natty.
