CRAVITY Shares How They Overcome Obstacles, When Their Group Chemistry Is At Its Best, And More
Super rookie CRAVITY recently sat down for an interview with Harper’s Bazaar!
The group talked about their latest EP “Season 2. Hideout: The New Day We Step Into” as well as title track “Flame.” With regards to the song’s message of taking challenges, the interviewer asked how the boys overcome obstacles.
Allen explained, “When I reach my limit, I believe that I have to overcome that limit in order to grow. For example, when I’m dancing, there are times where it’s so hard that my body doesn’t even move. Once I clear my mind and use all my strength, I find that my moves are better and much more stable.” Wonjin shared while laughing, “When I’m in a tough situation, I tell myself, ‘If you can’t do this, you can’t do anything you want to do!'”
Hyeongjun added, “No matter what you do, there’s always a time when it just doesn’t work out. As they say, little strokes fell great oaks, so I consistently attempt it. In times like this, you need confidence, and I also occasionally ask for help from those around me.”
When asked when they are most passionate, the members picked moments where they are doing what they enjoy, making music, performing on stage, and eating.
The group was also asked to pick who they trust the most. Many of the members picked their family as well as their group members. Seongmin elaborated, “I believe the people I have to trust most are my members. While promoting, I rely on them a lot and am very happy. They are people I can always trust in and am extremely thankful for.” Hyeongjun picked CRAVITY’s leader Serim, saying, “He leads us well in a very dependable way.”
Asked when they feel that the group chemistry is at its peak, Serim answered “on stage.” He explained, “In the instance that I make a mistake, the members will cover it well on stage and know how to fix our formation.”
Allen gave a similar answer, sharing, “I think our chemistry is best on stage. During our ‘Jumper’ performance, I am the benchmark for our starting position. There was once a time where I got the positioning wrong and the members put me back into the center position for the next formation. In that moment, I thought our reflexes were really amazing.”
On the other hand, Woobin adorably responded, “When we eat! We tell each other how to eat deliciously and kindly share our food!” Taeyoung added, “Just like a multiplayer game, I think our teamwork shines brightest when we all compete with our team name on the line.”
Check out the group’s full photoshoot and interview in the October issue of Harper’s Bazaar. CRAVITY is currently gearing up to promote their b-side track “Ohh Ahh” from their EP “Season 2. Hideout: The New Day We Step Into.”
