"New Journey To The West 8" Producers Apologize For Airing Episode With Editing Errors

The producers of tvN’s “New Journey to the West 8” have released a formal apology about errors and technical difficulties during the broadcast of their second episode.

On October 16, the eighth season of the popular variety show aired its second episode. However, in the middle of the episode, when the members were competing in a music quiz, the broadcast suddenly cut off.

Instead of continuing with the second episode, “New Journey to the West 8” then aired 1-2 minutes of a game from last week’s premiere, which confused the show’s viewers. The broadcast also included editing errors that caused some of the onscreen captions to overlap.

Later, tvN informed viewers through captions that “due to a situation within the network, the broadcast of tvN’s ‘New Journey to the West 8’ is currently delayed. The broadcast will resume shortly.”

Following the broadcast, the producers of “New Journey to the West 8” released the following statement:

We are sorry to viewers for the inconvenience caused by the delay in editing. We would like to sincerely apologize to both the viewers who watch “New Journey to the West 8” and to its cast members. In the future, we will do our utmost to ensure that this kind of incident never occurs again.

“New Journey to the West 8” airs on Fridays at 9:10 p.m. KST.
