The third match-up of Round 1 was between “Dynamite” and “Ammonite,” who sang a duet version of BTS’s chart-topping single “Dynamite.” Ammonite impressed the panelists with his solid pitch and vocal flexibility, while Dynamite showed off her unique and soulful vocals.

In the end, Ammonite won the match-up by a single vote. Dynamite sang a cover of Lee Hi’s “Rose” and unmasked to reveal herself as former FIESTAR main rapper and solo artist Yezi.

Yezi shared that her goal is to become a multitalented musician and that she has faced judgment about her “strong image” in the past. She said, “People tell me that I’m nicer and that I smile more often than they’d thought. I think a lot about that phrase, ‘more than they’d thought.’ I think that everyone has a sharp edge inside them, but you can’t keep that edge sharp all 365 days of the year.”

She added that she wanted to become Yoon Sang’s muse and said, “I love the song that he made with IU. I’d love to work with him like that someday.”
