Noh Jung Ui, Lee Jin Hyuk, And More Confirmed To Join NCT's Jaehyun And Park Hye Soo In "Dear.M"
KBS 2TV’s “Dear.M” has finalized its cast lineup!
“Dear.M” is a spin-off of the popular web drama “Love Playlist” and will tell the story of the campus-wide search for the mysterious “M,” an individual who is mentioned in an anonymous post on a Seoyeon University online community. The romance drama will follow the changing relationships and budding romances between various characters in the wake of all the buzz about “M.”
NCT’s Jaehyun and Park Hye Soo have been confirmed to play the leads Cha Min Ho and Ma Joo Ah, respectively. Cha Min Ho is a clever and imaginative second-year computer-engineering student who comes up with an idea to develop an exciting new app. Ma Joo Ah is a cheerful second-year business administration major who has never had a boyfriend and is constantly meddling in others’ affairs due to her generous and inquisitive nature. The two sophomores are childhood friends who have been BFFs for the past 12 years.
Bae Hyun Sung will be returning in his role as Park Ha Neul from “Love Playlist,” and Noh Jung Ui will be playing his love interest Seo Ji Min. Kim Sae Ron, who originally played the role of Seo Ji Min in “Love Playlist,” stepped down from “Dear.M” after previously deciding to star in it.
UP10TION’s Lee Jin Hyuk will play Gil Mok Jin, a sophomore psychology major who is roommates with Cha Min Ho and Park Ha Neul. Woo Davi takes on the role of Hwang Bo Young, a 24-year-old freshman business administration major who is like an older sister who gives Ma Joo Ah and Seo Ji Min love advice.
Choi Ro Sa, the vice-captain of Seoyeon University’s cheering team who went to high school with Seo Ji Min, will be played by Hwang Bo Reum Byeol. Lee Jung Sic will be Moon Joon, a sweet guy who has good leadership skills and is a role model to his juniors. CLC’s Eunbin will play Min Yang Hee, a computer engineering major along with Cha Min Ho, and Jo Joon Young will be the carefree yet serious Ban Yi Dam.
For “Dear.M,” “Love Playlist” screenwriter Lee Seul is working with Park Jin Woo, the director of KBS’s two-part music drama ‘to. Jenny,’ and Seo Joo Wan, the director of ‘I Hate Going to Work’ and ‘Love Revolution.’”
A source from the drama shared, “The lineup of actors who will portray the dreams, love, and adventures of youth has been finalized. The drama deals with the realistic and youthful campus romance of modern-day college students, and we will do our best to make it a drama that provides fun, is relatable, and brings back memories. Please show lots of anticipation and interest.”
“Dear.M” is aiming to air in the first half of 2021.
