Minzy Sets Up Her Own Agency
Former 2NE1 member and solo artist Minzy has set up her own agency!
Minzy left YG Entertainment in 2016 and joined The Music Works to promote as a solo artist. She left The Music Works in April 2020 after her legal dispute with the agency was settled. She released the single album “Lovely” in May to commemorate the new start of her career.
On October 22, it was reported that Minzy had set up a new agency called MZ Entertainment with the management specialist Gong Soon Yong in order to foster the talent of junior artists. Gong Soon Yong will be the CEO of the new agency. The two founders combine Minzy’s 11 years of experience in the entertainment industry with Gong Soon Yong’s 30 years of business experience.
MZ Entertainment will operate a dance school and build an expert training system with the help of external experts such as lawyer Jo Suk Geun.
The name comes from the agency’s intention to create stars from the “millennium Z” generation, foster their talent and character into a dream team, and support their promotions as brilliant artists in future.
Minzy will also be carrying out her solo activities under this agency.
