SEVENTEEN's Hoshi Donates Scholarship To Alma Mater
It was revealed that SEVENTEEN’s Hoshi made a donation to his alma mater!
On October 29, a source from Maseok High School in Gyeonggi Province shared, “Hoshi donated 23.1 million won (approximately $20,370) as scholarship for the school’s students.”
Hoshi’s parents delivered the donation in his stead, and they stated, “It wasn’t easy for our son to complete his education because we were not well off. Thanks to the consideration shown by the principal and his home room teacher, he was able to graduate and achieve his dreams. Hoshi has asked for his donation to be used to help students in families that are struggling financially so that they can achieve their dreams.” Hoshi reportedly also gave signed SEVENTEEN CDs to members of the high school’s dance club as gifts.
Maseok High School’s principal Kim Byung San said, “Hoshi has constantly been donating quietly without making it public. We hope that Hoshi’s sincere donation will be made widely known and have a positive influence on the students.”
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN made a comeback recently with their special album “; [Semicolon]” and the title track “HOME;RUN.” The group received the Prime Minister’s Commendation at the 2020 Korean Popular Culture & Arts Awards.
