Watch: CL Talks About 2NE1's Hopes For A Reunion + Performs New Track "HWA" And More

CL was a guest on the October 31 episode of KBS’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook”!

On the show, CL performed her new track “HWA” as well as “The Baddest Female” and “MTBD.”

Between her performances, she sat down for an interview with Yoo Hee Yeol. He said, “An interview you did with a fashion magazine two years ago in both Korean and English became really popular online. There are those who study English by watching that interview.”

CL said, “They shouldn’t do that. I learned English by watching MTV.” When Yoo Hee Yeol asked if she’d grown up abroad, she said, “There are a lot of people who think that. But if someone comes and asks me about American culture, I get confused. I’m from Mukdol Village in the Jagok-dong neighborhood.”

CL also shared that she still gets nervous when she performs on stage and said, “I came here with the mindset of starting anew. It’s the first time in a while that I’m releasing new music too, so my mindset has changed. In the past, I would do 2NE1 promotions with the other members alongside my solo promotions. Now I’m really alone and working with a brand new team.”

Yoo Hee Yeol asked if there was a possibility of a 2NE1 reunion down the line, and she said, “Our situation and circumstances are all different at the moment, so it’s a bit difficult now, but I hope that it will be possible as well. Personally, we talk about it a lot. We talk about it among ourselves. That if the time comes, we’ll be able to come together again.”

She also sang a medley of 2NE1’s hits like “Lonely and “I Am the Best,” as well as the solo track “THNX.”
