LINE Research conducted a survey of Japan’s favorite idols in 2020, and four K-pop groups made the top 10!

On October 28, LINE Research revealed the full results of its survey, which polled 571,691 Japanese men and women between the ages of 15 and 69 all across the country about their favorite idols.

TWICE came in at No. 5 on this year’s ranking of Japan’s most beloved female idols, while Girls’ Generation claimed No. 7 on the list. TWICE was the No. 1 favorite idol among teenage girls, while Girls’ Generation was especially popular with males in their forties and fifties.

Meanwhile, over on this year’s list of Japan’s favorite male idols, BTS made a strong showing at No. 7, while TVXQ came in at No. 9.
