Watch: Ong Seong Wu And Kim Dong Jun Have Fun Filming Fight Scene For "More Than Friends"

JTBC’s “More Than Friends” shared a behind-the-scenes look at the fight scene between Ong Seong Wu and Kim Dong Jun!

“More Than Friends” is a romance drama about two close friends who both fall in unrequited love with each other over the course of 10 years. Shin Ye Eun plays Kyung Woo Yeon, a calligrapher who finally decides to give up on her one-sided crush after a decade of pining. Ong Seong Wu plays Lee Soo, a photographer who suddenly starts to see his friend in a different light. ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun takes the role of On Jun Soo, the handsome and charming rival for Kyung Woo Yeon’s heart.

The video begins with Ong Seong Wu and Kim Dong Jun preparing for their scene by stretching their legs and backs in a joking manner before running through their pre-planned series of punches and attacks. When the two actors watch their rehearsal on the screen, a curious Shin Ye Eun pops up behind them.

Shin Ye Eun introduces herself to the camera, saying, “Hello. I came to watch the fight.” She then makes an exaggerated astonished expression as she wonders how they could both fight over her. She then haughtily says, “I’m tired,” before walking off. However, when she hears that the filming is about to start, she exclaims, “They’re gonna fight!” and eagerly turns around to watch the scene.

Ong Seong Wu and Kim Dong Jun display their top-notch acting skills as they throw fake punches at each other during the scene, tussling back and forth until the director says cut. The two actors hold each other by the collar while they wait for the next take, laughing at their peculiar situation.

While Shin Ye Eun stands watching them, Kim Dong Jun says, “If we really fought, it would be like this.” On cue, both Kim Dong Jun and Ong Seong Wu begin to breathe heavily as if the wind had been knocked out of them, making Shin Ye Eun laugh.

The next clip shows the cast on set at Lee Soo and Kyung Woo Yeon’s calligraphy exhibition. During her scene with Kim Dong Jun, Shin Ye Eun’s voice cracks, making everyone on set burst into laughter. In another take, Ong Seong Wu passes by the pair, but he crouches awkwardly between two cameras. Seeing this, Kim Dong Jun fails to hold back his smile. The moment the scene ends, everyone lets out the laughter they had been holding in.

The cast continue the light-hearted atmosphere on set as they huddle in close to play a game. Shin Ye Eun does her best to explain the game she wanted to play, but Oh Hee Joon says he thought they were playing something completely different. Everyone laughs off their confusion, unbothered by their failed attempt at the game.

The making-of video comes to an end as Shin Ye Eun and Kim Dong Jun begin dancing as if they are in the film “La La Land.” Ong Seong Wu walks by, their interesting dance making him turn his head out of curiosity.
