Watch: Jung Da Bin Has A Secret To Tell NU'EST's Minhyun In "Live On" Highlight Reel
JTBC has released a highlight reel ahead of the premiere of “Live On”!
“Live On” is a romance drama set in the broadcasting club of Seo Yeon High School. Jung Da Bin plays Baek Ho Rang, the school celebrity and social media influencer who enters the club for suspicious motives, while NU’EST’s Minhyun plays Go Eun Taek, the head of the club who is strict and a perfectionist.
The highlight reel begins with the broadcasting club discussing who to recruit to be their announcer. After one student suggests Baek Ho Rang, another clip shows Baek Ho Rang rudely turning down a group of students from the dance club who try to recruit her. Go Eun Taek then seeks her out to suggest that she join the broadcasting club, but she coldly rejects him as well.
However, things change when Baek Ho Rang hears a story sent in by an anonymous listener. Leaning on a tree, her eyelids fly open with shock when she hears, “My dear friend, it’s almost your birthday. The birthday party in our third year of junior high was really fun.” In an attempt to find out the identity of the person who submitted the story, Baek Ho Rang turns in her application to the broadcasting club. When Go Eun Taek asks her why she wants to know, she avoids the question, which makes the club’s vice president Ji So Hyun (Yang Hye Ji) suspicious.
The next series of clips preview the steady changes in Go Eun Taek and Baek Ho Rang’s relationship after she joins the broadcasting club. At first, she shows a clear disregard for the rules as she shows up late to the club meeting, which leads Go Eun Taek to tell her, “If you’re just going to do what you want, then leave.”
Although she got off to a rocky start, as time passes, she begins to share more friendly banter with Go Eun Taek, who jokes around by stepping on the floor that she had just mopped. He also sits her down to show her how to use the sound board and compliments her by saying, “You pick things up quickly, you can do it,” leaving her flustered. Go Eun Taek, obviously warming up to the new recruit, tells his friend Do Woo Jae (Noh Jong Hyun), “She really wasn’t good at first, but she’s getting better.”
The highlight reel then takes a surprising turn as Baek Ho Rang receives a suspicious text message which reads, “Baek Ho Rang, I know your secret.” As a crowd of students rushes to hold up their phones to record something, Baek Ho Rang’s voice says, “Sad endings always await those who have secrets.” Go Eun Taek turns to her and says warmly, “I’ll wait for you to tell me.” Towards the end, Baek Ho Rang runs after Go Eun Taek and grabs his arm to say, “I have something to tell you.”
