Mnet To Launch New Idol Variety Show About Running Next Month

Mnet is launching a new variety show called “Running Girls.”

“Running Girls” is a reality program in which female K-pop idols in their twenties will join a “running crew” to seek out beautiful natural running courses in South Korea. The show follows a new trend called “run-trips,” where people travel for the sake of finding new and beautiful places to go running.

Instead of simply focusing on running as a form of exercise, the cast members on the show will also engage in thoughtful discussion about their lives and develop friendships through running and eating and traveling together.

The production staff stated, “At a time when it feels like you have to keep running to stay ahead of the competition, this show will offer a chance to look back and see if you’re running on the right track. We will do our best to offer a precious chance to boost mental and physical health through the ‘running crew.'”

“Running Girls” will premiere on December 9 at 7:50 p.m. KST. Check out a teaser below!
