Update: Lee Hyori Unable To Join Refund Sisters At 2020 MBC Music Festival And 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards
Updated December 28 KST:
There will be some changes to the Refund Sisters’ performances at the 2020 MBC Music Festival and 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards.
Currently, Lee Hyori is residing in Jeju Island, and due to the worsening situation of COVID-19, she will not be able to attend the 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards. Therefore, the Refund Sisters will no longer be performing at the event. However, Lee Hyori will make a special appearance, and Jessi, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, and Uhm Jung Hwa will still be attending the ceremony.
Lee Hyori will also be absent from the 2020 MBC Music Festival, but the other three members will still be at the event.
Great news for fans of the project group Refund Sisters—the “How Do You Play?” group is getting back together to attend more than one year-end ceremony!
On November 26, MBC officially announced, “Refund Sisters will be appearing on both the 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards and the 2020 MBC Gayo Daejejun.”
Refund Sisters—the chart-topping girl group consisting of Lee Hyori, Jessi, MAMAMOO’s Hwasa, and Uhm Jung Hwa—shook up both the variety show world and the music scene over the past few months. Not only did Refund Sisters boost viewership ratings on “How Do You Play?” (their first appearance on the program catapulted the show’s ratings to an all-time high), but their debut track “Don’t Touch Me” also scored a perfect all-kill on the Korean charts.
The 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards will take place on December 29 KST, while the 2020 MBC Music Festival (the network’s annual year-end music festival) will take place two days later, on December 31.
Are you excited to see Refund Sisters perform together again?
