Update: Artists Test Negative For COVID-19 After Precautionary Testing

The Boyz’s Kevin and Jacob, who are the hosts of the music show “Simply K-pop,” have tested negative for COVID-19.
It’s reported that someone who was on set for the November 30 filming of “Simply K-pop” has been diagnosed with COVID-19, and so all those who were in contact with them have been tested.
A Cre.ker Entertainment source clarified that the two members had not been required to be tested according to authorities after an epidemiological investigation was carried out, because they had filmed separately. However, they were tested as a preemptive measure and their tests came back negative on the morning of December 4.

Cube Entertainment shared that BTOB 4U and PENTAGON members have all tested negative for COVID-19.
Regarding BTOB 4U, they shared, “A cast member who performed on music shows on November 28 and 29 was confirmed with COVID-19, and BTOB 4U, who had appeared on the same shows, was contacted by the production staff on November 30. The members and related staff all voluntarily got tested and received negative results [on November 1].” They added that BTOB 4U will resume their scheduled activities starting December 2.
It was announced previously that PENTAGON’s Yeo One had crossed paths with a confirmed COVID-19 case and tested negative on November 28. Cube Entertainment wrote in a new statement, “To prevent any unexpected circumstances, the rest of the members were all tested for COVID-19 and tested negative, but they will go into self-quarantine for the time being.” The agency continued, “The new date and adjustments for the 2020 PENTAGON Online Concert ‘WE L:VE’ that was urgently postponed will be announced shortly.”

Many more celebrities have announced that they tested negative for COVID-19.
FNC Entertainment shared, “CNBLUE members Jung Yong Hwa, Lee Jung Shin, and Kang Min Hyuk and [SF9’s] Chani were preemptively tested for COVID-19 on November 30 and have tested negative.”
Lee Jung Shin personally wrote on Twitter, “Everyone, the test results are out. It’s negative~But I should still be careful! Everyone, make sure to wear your masks!!! Please~! Good night.”

MAJOR9 stated they confirmed on December 1 that Bling Bling had tested negative for COVID-19.
YG Entertainment announced that AKMU, TREASURE, and the staff that had accompanied them had all tested negative on December 1. The agency added that the artists were voluntarily tested and in self-quarantine despite not showing signs of infection nor being instructed to do so by the government.
Off The Record Entertainment and Swing Entertainment shared that IZ*ONE was tested on November 30 although they had not come into direct contact with the confirmed case. They reassured that IZ*ONE members and related staff had all tested negative and that plans for IZ*ONE’s comeback with “One-reeler: Act IV” have not been affected.
Yuehua Entertainment stated that WOODZ (Cho Seung Youn) had tested negative for COVID-19 and will resume activities as normal.
Pocketdol Studio also shared that BAE173 had tested negative for the virus.
Starship Entertainment relayed to SPO TV News that MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, the MC of “Inkigayo,” had tested negative. Other “Inkigayo” MC APRIL’s Naeun also tested negative along with her staff members. Her agency DSP Media explained that she and her staff exhibited no symptoms but decided to self-quarantine and get tested as a preemptive measure.
It was posted on Natty’s fan café that Natty and the staff accompanying her were immediately tested after being notified and were informed of their negative test results on December 1 while in self-quarantine. Natty will resume activities as normal starting December 2.
Monster Entertainment Group posted on their Instagram Stories that Henry and his accompanying staff had all tested negative.
LUCY revealed through their official fan café that all members tested negative as well.
Woollim Entertainment shared that DRIPPIN and their staff all tested negative for COVID-19.
Singer COOING was also voluntarily tested and in self-quarantine, and STARIT Entertainment announced that she tested negative on December 1.
HIGH-UP Entertainment revealed that the members of STAYC and their staff all tested negative for COVID-19 and that STAYC will resume their scheduled activities as normal on December 2.
SM Entertainment announced that NCT, aespa, and their staff had all tested negative.

Stray Kids’ agency JYP Entertainment has announced that the group members have all tested negative for COVID-19.
The agency stated, “Stray Kids was not in contact with the confirmed case at music shows over the weekend, however the members were tested for COVID-19 as a pre-emptive measure on November 30 as we consider their safety and health as the utmost priorities.” After testing negative, Stray Kids will resume their scheduled activities as normal as of December 1.
CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa also wrote on Twitter, “The result is negative, everyone. I’m sorry for worrying you! I hope other colleagues and staff are all okay!”

Norazo’s Won Heum also shared on Instagram that 13 people in their team had received negative test results, including himself, fellow Norazo member Jo Bin, their manager, stylist, and members of their dance team, hair team, and make-up team. He shared that other staff members who had been tested at another location may be receiving their results the next day, and he expressed his hope that network staff, other singers, and other staff will all test negative.

Several artists are being tested for COVID-19 and adjusting their schedules as a precautionary measure.
On November 30, TOP Media announced that UP10TION’s Bitto had tested positive for COVID-19. After completing his official activities on November 29, he was notified that he had come into close contact with a confirmed case and was tested for the virus. The results came out positive on November 30.
UP10TION performed on “Music Core” (November 28) and “Inkigayo” (November 29) this week.
SBS MTV’s “The Show” announced that the live broadcast scheduled for Tuesday, December 1 will be cancelled as many of the artists in the lineup had appeared in the same music show as UP10TION recently.
On November 30, ArirangTV’s “Simply K-pop” carried out the recording for their upcoming broadcast without UP10TION, Norazo, Natty, woo!ah!, and STAYC, who had appeared on “Music Core” and “Inkigayo.”
Although UP10TION did not appear on “Music Bank” last Friday, “Music Bank” is checking to see if any of the performers may have crossed paths with Bitto on a different music show. As of now, this week’s “Music Bank” episode will take place as per usual.
Artists who have announced they are being tested for COVID-19 include AKMU, TREASURE, NCT, aespa, CNBLUE, SF9’s Chani, Stray Kids, APRIL’s Naeun, MONSTA X’s Minhyuk, Bling Bling, STAYC, and LUCY. Some of the artists and their agencies have released statements regarding activities being cancelled or postponed. Stray Kids has announced the postponement of their video call event on November 30, and WOODZ has cancelled his appearances on SBS Power FM’s “Park So Hyun’s Love Game” and Naver NOW’s “Late Night Idol” (literal title). STAYC has announced that all of the group’s activities scheduled until Tuesday, December 1 have been cancelled. Mystic Story has shared that LUCY has cancelled all of their activities for November 30 and are self-quarantining prior to getting tested. UP10TION has cancelled plans to promote a b-side track on their recent album as well as upcoming fan signing events.
