Movies Halt Filming Due To COVID-19 Precautions
Two movies have temporarily halted filming due to precautions to prevent the potential spread of COVID-19.
Director Park Chan Wook’s new film “Determination to Part Ways” (literal title) has paused filming due to a staff member coming in contact with a confirmed COVID-19 case. The movie’s cast includes Park Hae Il, Tang Wei, Lee Jung Hyun, Go Kyung Pyo, and Park Yong Woo, and it began filming in October.
A source from “Determination to Part Ways” told Newsen that they halted filming because one of the members of the special effect makeup team came in contact with someone who was confirmed to have COVID-19. Their whole team has been tested and are waiting for results. “We plan to resume filming if the test results are negative,” they said.
The staff member has also been working on the film “Handsome Guys,” and the movie has halted filming as they await the staff member’s test results.
The movie stars Lee Sung Min, Lee Hee Joon, Gong Seung Yeon, Lee Kyu Hyung, EXID’s Jeonghwa, and more. Jeonghwa canceled plans for a December 1 interview for her movie “The Dragon Inn: Part 1” and is self-isolating as a precaution.
The films are planning to take further steps if the staff member tests positive, including having all the cast and crew receive tests.
