SF9's Chani Is Cha Eun Woo And Hwang In Yeop's Best Friend In "True Beauty" Cameo

“True Beauty” shared a glimpse of SF9 member Chani’s cameo ahead of the drama’s premiere!

Based on a hit webtoon, “True Beauty” is a romantic comedy about Lim Ju Gyeong (Moon Ga Young), who zealously uses makeup to hide her bare face and combat her insecurities about her looks. After she meets Lee Su Ho (ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo), a popular student who has his own emotional wounds, they share each other’s secrets and learn to heal through love. Hwang In Yeop plays Han Seo Jun, an untamable rebel with a surprisingly warm heart.

Chani is making a special appearance in the show as Jung Se Yeon, the best friend of Lee Su Ho and Han Seo Jun. His upbeat character is described as smoothly bridging the gap between the cold Lee Su Ho and the rough Han Seo Jun, and stills released on December 8 show the trio’s close friendship in the past. Jung Se Yeon beams as he checks out his bracelet, and the trio crosses their arms together, revealing that they’re wearing the same bracelets.

However, Lee Su Ho and Han Seo Jun in the present have a tense and conflicted relationship, contrary to their close friendship in the past. Drama fans are curious to find out the reason why they turned away from each other.

The production team stated, “We sincerely thank Chani, who readily accepted the offer to make a cameo despite his busy schedule. Even though it was only a cameo, Chani made his character more three-dimensional through his detailed analysis of the script.” They asked fans to look forward to the trio’s performance together and the story of the characters.

“True Beauty” premieres on December 9 at 10:30 p.m. KST and will be available on Viki.
