Watch: TXT Teams Up With National Orchestra Of Korea For Traditional Korean Instrument Version Of "Run Away"
TXT joined forces with the National Orchestra of Korea for a very special performance of their song “Run Away“!
On December 11, the city of Seoul aired the final online concert of its five-night “Seoul Music Discovery” series. TXT performed several songs for the concert, but their first performance was especially noteworthy: in a large-scale collaboration with the National Orchestra of Korea, which uses traditional Korean instruments, the group performed a special rearrangement of “Run Away” at the Kyunghee Palace in Seoul.
After their performance, Huening Kai remarked, “It’s such an honor to be able to perform here [at Kyunghee Palace].” Beomgyu agreed, “This place is so beautiful, and I feel like I’m becoming healthier just being here. I think that’s why we were able to wrap up our performance without feeling exhausted.”
Leader Soobin pointed out that it was their first time collaborating with a traditional Korean orchestra, and Beomgyu chimed in, “It felt so different hearing a traditional Korean version of [our song], and it felt especially great to be able to perform it here at such a meaningful place.” Yeonjun commented, “As the others have already said, it’s such an honor that we were able to perform here at the beautiful Kyunghee Palace. I’m so proud of us.”
Taehyun added, “I’m happy because I think we were able to show many people a uniquely Korean feeling.”
