Gallup Korea has revealed the results for the most notable drama stars of the year.
Gallup Korea has held annual polls since 2007 in which people in South Korea vote for the most notable characters of the year. This year, 1,700 people over the age of 13 were surveyed between November 5 and 29 from all over mainland South Korea. The poll results for variety stars/comedians, film actors, and sports athletes have already been released.
Kim Hee Ae was voted the most notable drama actor of the year with a score of 9.4 percent, having enraptured viewers with her graceful and dramatic performance in JTBC’s “The World of the Married.” The drama garnered immense popularity despite being rated for ages 19 and over, becoming only the seventh drama since 2013 to score higher than 10 percent on the survey of South Koreans’ favorite TV programs.
In second place was Park Bo Gum, who starred in tvN’s “Record of Youth” before enlisting for his mandatory military service.
