Update: SEVENTEEN Tests Negative For COVID-19

All 13 members of SEVENTEEN have tested negative for COVID-19.
On December 19, Pledis Entertainment made an official statement via SEVENTEEN’s social media account.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello, this is Pledis Entertainment.
On December 17, all the members of SEVENTEEN were preemptively tested for COVID-19, and they all tested negative for the virus. All activities will resume normal from today.
Thank you for worrying about SEVENTEEN and supporting them. We will prioritize the health and safety of our artists, and we will continue to follow government guidelines in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Thank you.

SEVENTEEN is unable to participate in the 2020 KBS Song Festival on December 18.
That day, Pledis Entertainment shared a statement regarding SEVENTEEN’s COVID-19 test results after they were preemptively tested following the group visiting a hair salon at the same time as someone who tested positive.
The agency stated, “All the members quickly carried out testing at the same time, however they have received their test results at different times. All the members who received ‘negative’ tests have resumed their activities as normal starting today, however we were notified by the test center a little while ago that it would be difficult to confirm S.Coups’s test result by today.”
“Therefore, we inform you that SEVENTEEN will unfortunately not be taking part in the 2020 KBS Song Festival,” they continued. “S.Coups has been in self-quarantine since December 17, and we will issue a further notice when S.Coups’s test results are confirmed.”
The agency apologized to fans for causing concern and stated they will continue to follow health authorities’ guidelines.

NCT has received their COVID-19 test results.
On December 18, SM Entertainment shared, “All NCT members tested negative for COVID-19. They will participate in the KBS Song Festival recording today.”
Although they didn’t directly come in contact, NCT previously received preemptive testing for COVID-19 as their makeup staff crossed paths with a confirmed case.

NCT has also been tested for COVID-19.
SM Entertainment revealed on December 17, “It became known today that NCT’s makeup staff crossed paths with a confirmed case at the hair salon. Their KBS Song Festival prerecording scheduled for today was inevitably canceled in order for all of the members to receive COVID-19 testing as a preemptive measure. The status of future scheduled activities will be discussed depending on the test results.”
The 2020 KBS Song Festival will air as planned as most other prerecordings are continuing as scheduled or are already complete.

This is Pledis Entertainment.The hair salon visited by SEVENTEEN on December 16 was also visited by someone who tested positive for COVID-19. We were informed today that this confirmed case visited at the same time as SEVENTEEN and that some paths crossed.
Health authorities did not officially request for SEVENTEEN to receive testing, but for the safety of the artists and staff, all members received COVID-19 testing today as a preemptive measure, and they are self-quarantining until the test results are released.
