BTS's "Dynamite" Breaks Record As It Soars To 700 Million Views
BTS’s “Dynamite” sets a new record as it hits 700 million views on YouTube!
The music video for BTS’s “Dynamite” was released on August 21 at 1 p.m. KST and it reached 700 million views by 9:42 p.m. KST on December 17. This means it took about three months and 26 days to reach the milestone.
The “Dynamite” music video has previously broken multiple records on YouTube, including earning Guinness World Records titles as the most viewed YouTube video in 24 hours and more, and it continues to make history through this latest achievement. It beats the record for fastest Korean group MV to reach 700 million views, which was previously held by BLACKPINK’s “DDU-DU DDU-DU” after hitting the milestone in eight months and 21 days. “Dynamite” may also have beaten the record held by PSY’s “Gangnam Style” for fastest music video by a Korean artist to reach 700 million views, however there is a current lack of official sources to confirm the exact timing of the record.
BTS now has six music videos that have surpassed 700 million views, also including “DNA,” “Boy With Luv,” “Fake Love,” “IDOL,” and “MIC Drop,” and they remain the Korean artist with the most videos that have achieved the feat.
Congratulations to BTS!
