"Mr. Queen" Hits Its Highest Ratings Yet + "The Uncanny Counter" Successfully Defends Its OCN Record
tvN’s “Mr. Queen” is on the rise!
On December 19, the new historical fantasy-comedy drama starring Shin Hye Sun and Kim Jung Hyun continued its upward trend of gaining new viewers with each episode. According to Nielsen Korea, the third episode of “Mr. Queen” scored an average nationwide rating of 9.0 percent and a peak of 11.3 percent, marking a new all-time high for the drama. The show also took first place in its time slot across all channels, including public broadcast networks (an impressive feat for a cable network drama).
Meanwhile, after setting a new record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved in OCN history last week, “The Uncanny Counter” stayed strong for its latest episode. The superhero drama scored an average nationwide rating of 7.7 percent and a peak of 8.4 percent, maintaining its record from its previous broadcast.
JTBC’s “Hush” scored an average nationwide rating of 2.3 percent for its fourth episode, while TV Chosun’s “The Goddess of Revenge” scored an average of 2.8 percent for the night.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Homemade Love Story” remained the most-watched drama of Saturday night, scoring average nationwide ratings of 24.1 percent and 30.3 percent for its two parts.
