Kim Yoo Jung And Shin Dong Yup To MC 2020 SBS Drama Awards

Shin Dong Yup and Kim Yoo Jung will be hosting the 2020 SBS Drama Awards!

Kim Yoo Jung appeared in the SBS Friday-Saturday drama “Backstreet Rookie” this year, and for the first time in a while, she will take the stage as an MC. This year marks Shin Dong Yup’s fourth year hosting the ceremony.

PD (producing director) Jang Seok Jin, who is in charge of directing the event, commented, “The veteran Shin Dong Yup who has hosted many award ceremonies will show his teamwork with Kim Yoo Jung, who has experience as the ‘Inkigayo‘ MC. Please look forward to the fresh combination and their synergy.”

The director added, “During this year, SBS birthed many buzzworthy dramas and received lots of love from viewers. Because this year’s SBS Drama Awards is a 30th anniversary special, it will introduce various SBS dramas from not only this year, but also from past years. Please anticipate it.”

The 2020 SBS Drama Awards will take measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and ensure the safety of its participants. Unlike previous years, tables will not be set up in the audience area. Instead, the actors will wait in their respective waiting areas and come up to the stage when the the presenter calls their name. For safety purposes, the trophy will be placed on a table for the award winner to grab themselves. The MCs will use their personal microphones, and the microphones on stage will be disinfected and have their covers replaced after each award is presented.
