Kim Hye Soo And Yum Jung Ah In Talks To Star In New Film By 'Veteran' Director

Kim Hye Soo and Yum Jung Ah may potentially star in a film together!

On December 28, Star News reported that according to sources within the film industry, Kim Hye Soo and Yum Jung Ah recently decided to act in the upcoming movie “Smuggling” (working title) by Director Ryoo Seung Wan. Known for his action and crime thriller movies, Ryoo Seung Wan has helmed films including “Crying Fist,” “The Unjust,” “The City of Violence,” “The Berlin File,” “Veteran,” and more.

His new film is described as being about a secretive fight between enemies surrounding smuggling. It was reported that the project is aiming to begin filming next year.

This would be the first time that the two actresses have worked with Ryoo Seung Wan, and Star News stated that there’s expected to be a lot of buzz about Ryoo Seung Wan’s new film featuring Kim Hye Soo and Yum Jung Ah as its two stars. The director previously featured two female leads in the 2002 film “No Blood No Tears,” which was led by Jeon Do Yeon and Lee Hye Young.

Later on December 28, sources from Kim Hye Soo’s and Yum Jung Ah’s agencies confirmed with YTN Star that they have received offers for “Smuggling” and are considering them.

Kim Hye Soo has starred in films such as “Tazza: The High Rollers,” “The Thieves,” “Coin Locker Girl,” and “A Special Lady” as well as dramas including “Signal” and “Hyena.” Yum Jung Ah’s filmography includes “A Tale of Two Sisters,” “Hit-and-Run Squad,” and “The Old Garden,” and she’s performed in dramas such as “Royal Family” and “SKY Castle.”
