TXT shares their thoughts on 2020 in a new cover!

On December 29, the group dropped a cover of Avenue Beat’s “F2020,” a track that features the line “Lowkey f**k 2020.” The five TXT members wrote Korean lyrics for their cover along with danke.

In the song, TXT expresses their feelings about 2020 as they say goodbye to the year. The track begins with them looking back on being hopeful on December 31 last year for only good things to happen. They sing, “This year that we planned together, our promise to meet for the next album as well, missed it. The fourth season is already here again.”

The group goes on to sing about postponed concerts (the group originally had their first world tour planned for 2020), empty venues, performing without cheering fans, and loneliness, describing living in a “tiny tiny world of only five people.”

“Tomorrow I want to tilt my head back as far as possible and yell to the sky, rather than the ceiling, ‘Everyone, you’ve gone through a lot,'” they sing, with the group looking forward to meeting everyone again and the return of a normal everyday life.

TXT most recently made a comeback in October with “Blue Hour” off their mini album “minisode 1: Blue Hour.” They also released a music video for their b-side “We Lost the Summer,” a song about struggling over missing loved ones and losing out on experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
