'The Penthouse' Stays Strong In Viewership Ratings + 'Royal Secret Agent' Sets New Personal Best

SBS’s “The Penthouse” continues to stay strong in viewership ratings as it approaches the finale!

According to Nielsen Korea, the December 29 episode of “The Penthouse” recorded average nationwide ratings of 21.3 and 23.5 percent. This is a slight decrease from last episode‘s 21.0 and 23.9 percent, but similar overall. The lack of a significant drop in ratings despite these two recent episodes being rated 19+ is a testament to the drama’s popularity among a wide demographic.

On KBS, “Royal Secret Agent” set a new personal best with ratings of 5.2 and 6.1 percent. The drama had a solid premiere with ratings of 5.0 percent, rose to 5.8 percent in its second episode, dropped slightly to 5.2 percent in the third episode, and has now broken into the 6 percent range with the most recent fourth episode.

MBC is currently not airing a drama on Monday-Tuesday evenings after the end of “Kairos,” but the channel did add a new competitor in this time slot for the night of December 29 with the broadcast of the 2020 MBC Entertainment Awards, which recorded ratings of 6.3 and 7.3 percent.

On tvN, “Awaken” recorded ratings of 4.391 percent, a slight rise from last episode. On JTBC, “Live On” recorded 0.6 percent, the same as last week.
