Kang Daniel And His Agency Participate In Meaningful Charity Event To Help Children In Need
Kang Daniel and KONNECT Entertainment participated in another meaningful campaign!
Recently, Kang Daniel participated in Holt Children’s Service’s campaign Protect Me to support children from families at risk.
In the Protect Me campaign, volunteers personally make book covers by hand and deliver them to children in need. The book covers symbolize the protection and support of these children at risk, similarly to how a book cover protects a book. While preparing for volunteer activities without personal contact due to COVID-19, Kang Daniel and his agency decided to partake in the event because they supported the cause.
Kang Daniel and KONNECT Entertainment made around 100 book covers with great care over a period of two weeks. Although it took a long time since the volunteers were new to sewing, they put more meaning into the campaign by personally working with a thread and needle on each book cover. They also wrote messages of support for the children receiving these gifts.
The book covers made by Kang Daniel and his agency will be delivered to children who need protection through Holt Children’s Service. Furthermore, the donation funds will be used to provide mental and medical care, housing, living support, and educational support to those children.
Kang Daniel shared, “We participated in the campaign because we wanted to fill the cold winter and empty year-end at least a little bit with warmth.” He added, “Since it’s a meaningful campaign, it would be great if many people could participate and give the children great strength.”
A representative of Holt Children’s Service shared, “We’ll strive to make sure the children from families at risk can be protected warmly through the book covers and donations we have received.”
Kang Daniel and KONNECT Entertainment have continued to spread love, such as by making donations to prevent the spread of COVID-19, helping the social welfare organization Snail of Love for the hearing impaired, and donating briquettes to Korea’s Coal Bank.
Following his successful solo debut, Kang Daniel surpassed 1 million in total album sales in early 2020. This year, he also released two mini albums “CYAN” and “MAGENTA,” which received love from around the world. The artist has continued to repay the love he has received through meaningful donations and volunteer activities.
