Golden Child To Resume Activities Following Jaehyun's Successful Recovery From COVID-19

Woollim Entertainment has announced that all the members of Golden Child have tested negative for COVID-19 and will be returning to promotions.

Earlier this month, Golden Child temporarily halted all activities after Jaehyun was diagnosed with COVID-19. Jaehyun followed quarantine protocol by staying in an assigned treatment center, while the other members—all of whom tested negative—went into voluntary self-isolation for two weeks as a precautionary measure.

On December 31, Woollim Entertainment announced that following his stay in his assigned treatment center, Jaehyun had successfully recovered from COVID-19 and had recently tested negative for the virus. As the other members of Golden Child also tested negative for the virus after their two weeks of self-quarantine, the group will be resuming all activities.

Woollim Entertainment’s full statement is as follows:

Hello, this is Woollim Entertainment.

We are informing you of Golden Child’s release from self-quarantine.

Previously, Golden Child member Bong Jaehyun underwent testing for COVID-19, and on December 17, he was confirmed to have tested positive with no symptoms. Afterwards, in accordance with government health guidelines, he stayed in a community treatment center and focused entirely on his treatment.

Bong Jaehyun tested negative for COVID-19 in his recent final test, and he received confirmation from health authorities that there would be no problem in [his returning] to everyday life and promotions.

Additionally, the other Golden Child members, who remained in self-quarantine due to the fact that they had been in close contact [with Jaehyun], also tested negative in their final tests and have therefore been released from self-quarantine.

As a result, Golden Child, who had halted all promotions due to self-quarantine, will be resuming their activities and plan to greet their fans.

We apologize once again for having given many people cause for concern.

We will continue to work hard to take care of our artists’ health and ensure their safety during their promotions, and we will strictly follow the guidelines and rules for the prevention of COVID-19.
