GOT7 is now seven years old!
The group is celebrating the seventh anniversary of their January 16, 2014 debut, when they performed their track “Girls Girls Girls” on “M Countdown” for the first time. GOT7’s departure from JYP Entertainment was confirmed this week, and the group members recently all posted to say “#GOT7FOREVER.”
At midnight KST on January 16, the group released a video set to their song “Playground” that looks back on some precious memories.
Many of the members have also posted to celebrate the day! Jackson shared a photo of the group on Instagram and wrote, “7 years. Always blessed for everything.”

Jackson also wrote on Twitter, “To think it’s already been seven years. It’s been almost 10 years since I came to Korea, and I thank you sincerely for having watched over me as I grew. I always say this, but I’m going to work harder so that I can definitely show you a good version of myself and how I’m improving.” He thanked fans for all their love and promised to become an artist they can be proud of.
