iKON may be joining the lineup for Mnet’s “Kingdom”!

On January 22, Mnet officially announced, “iKON is currently in talks to appear on ‘Kingdom.’ We are in the midst of fine-tuning the final details.”

The network added, “We will be announcing the rest of the lineup aside from iKON, THE BOYZ, ATEEZ, and Stray Kids very soon. The first broadcast is scheduled to air in April.”

Following the massive success of “Queendom” in 2019, Mnet announced that they would be launching a male version of the show entitled “Kingdom.” However, unlike “Queendom,” the male version kicked off with a preliminary season called “Road to Kingdom,” in which seven male groups competed for a spot in the final lineup of “Kingdom.” The program aired last year, with THE BOYZ emerging the final winner of the show.

Mnet revealed during the 2020 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) last month that Stray Kids and ATEEZ would be joining the idol competition show as well.
