"The Uncanny Counter" Finale Achieves Highest Ratings In OCN History + "Love (Ft. Marriage And Divorce)" Sets New TV Chosun Record
Two dramas made network history last night!
On January 24, the final episode of OCN’s “The Uncanny Counter” drew the highest viewership ratings of the drama’s entire run. According to Nielsen Korea, the series finale scored an average nationwide rating of 11.0 percent. Not only did the figure mark a personal record for the series, but it also broke the drama’s own record for the highest viewership ratings ever achieved in OCN history.
TV Chosun’s new drama “Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce)” similarly made history on its own network: the second episode scored an average nationwide rating of 7.2 percent, setting a new record for the highest ratings ever achieved by a TV Chosun drama.
Meanwhile, tvN’s hit drama “Mr. Queen” also soared to new heights. The latest episode of the show scored an average nationwide rating of 13.6 percent and a peak of 15.2 percent, marking a new all-time high for the drama. Additionally, “Mr. Queen” successfully defended its position at the top of its time slot, taking first place across all channels—including public broadcast networks.
“Mr. Queen” also remained first place in its time slot across all channels (including public broadcast networks) among the key demographic of viewers ages 20 to 49, with whom it scored an average nationwide rating of 7.6 percent and a peak of 8.3 percent.
Finally, KBS 2TV’s “Homemade Love Story” continued its winning streak as the most-watched drama of Sunday nights. The latest broadcast of the popular series scored average nationwide ratings of 29.9 percent and 32.5 percent for its two parts.
