Baek Jong Won And Yang Se Hyung's "The Paikfather" Announces Temporary Hiatus
MBC’s “The Paikfather” has announced it is going on a temporary hiatus.
On the January 30 episode of “The Paikfather,” Baek Jong Won stated that the show’s first season would wrap up at the end of February.
He said, “I’m mentioning it now while I remember it, but ‘The Paikfather’ will continue broadcasting until the end of February and then take a break. Because it’s difficult. There aren’t many episodes left. If you want to learn the dishes that we showed in the first half of the season, please watch the videos on social media and check the ingredients thoroughly. There are about four episodes left, so please follow closely.”
He continued, “Live broadcasts are very difficult. In order to prepare for the live broadcast, the production staff and I have to rehearse starting from the early morning. Our energy levels are depleted. We’re going to keep going until the end of February and then take a break to recharge before starting again.”
He concluded jokingly, “This show actually requires more budget than you’d think. Thank you to all the advertisers who sponsor us.”
“The Paikfather” is a live broadcast cooking show in which Baek Jong Won teaches people how to cook no matter their level of experience. Yang Se Hyung also co-hosts the show, which premiered in June 2020.
