Park Ha Sun and Kim Ji Eun have now been confirmed to join Namgoong Min in the upcoming drama “The Veil.”

Park Ha Sun is confirmed for the role of Seo Soo Yeon, who is a team leader at the Crime Information Center of the National Intelligence Service. She develops a precarious relationship with Han Ji Hyuk (Namgoong Min), with the pair seeming like both enemies and colleagues, adding tension to the show. Seo Soo Yeon is also an elite agent who’s hiding a secret.

The actress said through her agency KeyEast, “It’s a honor to be joining a great project. I’m excited because I think I’ll be able to show a different side of myself.”

Rookie actress Kim Ji Eun was chosen through auditions for the role of Yoo Je Yi. Kim Ji Eun has appeared in projects including the drama “Strangers from Hell,” the web drama “I Have Three Boyfriends,” and the short-form series “Just Comedy.” Her character Yoo Je Yi is a talented young woman who graduated early from not only middle and high school, but also the national research university KAIST. She’s a promising field agent at the National Intelligence Service and Han Ji Hyuk’s partner.

Kim Ji Eun shared through her agency HB Entertainment, “I’m grateful and happy to be taking part in a great project. It’s also an honor to be working with Namgoong Min and Park Ha Sun. I’ll work hard at filming and do my best to put on a good performance.”

Park Ha Sun might be starring alongside Namgoong Min in a new drama!

On February 2, an industry representative reported that the actress will be starring as the female lead in the upcoming MBC drama “The Veil.” Her agency KeyEast confirmed, “Park Ha Sun received a casting offer in ‘The Veil’ and is positively reviewing it.”

“The Veil,” which had garnered attention due to its reported 15 billion won budget (about $13.7 million), is set to be a 12-episode project about a top agent at the National Intelligence Service (NIS). After going missing a year ago, he joins a crime syndicate in order to find the traitor who was responsible for his downfall.

Namgoong Min has been cast in the lead role as Han Ji Hyuk, the top field agent in the NIS. He is held in awe by his colleagues for his perfect record and skill at completing missions. He had been driving an organized crime syndicate into a corner when he vanished off the face of the earth, but he returns a year later to shake up the syndicate once more.

Park Ha Sun was offered the role of Seo Soo Yeon, the head of team 4 of the Crime Information Center who is excellent at performing her duties and solving cases. She has great affection for people, and she especially cares for her teammates.

Park Ha Sun made viewers laugh with her unique role as a “queen bee” mother at a postpartum care center in her latest drama “Birthcare Center.” So fans are eager to find out if she will make a 180-degree transformation for this project.

“The Veil” will be directed by Kim Sung Yong and written by Park Seok Ho. It is set to premiere in the second half of 2021.
