Super Junior's Kim Heechul, AKMU, And More Confirmed For New JTBC Variety Show About Living Alone For First Time
JTBC is launching a new variety show about people learning to live independently for the first time.
“Hurrah for Independence” (literal translation) is an observation reality program that shows celebrities who have never lived alone in their whole lives as they learn how to strike out on their own and live independently for the first time. The show will follow these celebrities throughout the whole process of living independently, including finding their own house themselves.
Song Eun Yi, AKMU, and Jaejae have been confirmed to be part of the cast. Song Eun Yi, who has been living with her mother until now, will be living on her own for the first time at 48 years old. AKMU’s Lee Chanhyuk and Lee Suhyun, who are siblings, will be moving out of their parents’ house and show the ambitious life of 20-somethings who gain their independence for the first time. Jaejae, who works at SBS but became popular as an MC on YouTube, will be a relatable character for all those who work 9-to-5 jobs and have to keep house for themselves.
Super Junior’s Kim Heechul and Boom, who hosted the 2020 SBS Gayo Daejeon in Daegu together with APRIL’s Naeun, will be the hosts of the show.
The new show will premiere on JTBC on February 22 at 10:30 p.m. KST.
