BTS's "Dynamite" Becomes 1st Single By A Korean Group To Go Gold In The United Kingdom
BTS’s “Dynamite” has now reached gold certification in the United Kingdom, becoming the first single by a Korean group to achieve the feat!
The British Phonographic Industry shared on February 5 that “Dynamite” has now reached gold BRIT certification. Singles earn gold certification in the United Kingdom when they achieve 400,000 units.

“Dynamite” was released as a single by BTS on August 21, 2020 and also included in the group’s November album “BE.” It’s been a worldwide hit, including in the United Kingdom, where it debuted at No. 3 on the Official UK singles chart in August. The song still remains on the chart, now at No. 75 as its spends its 24th week on the ranking.
In addition to now being the only Korean group with a gold single in the United Kingdom, BTS is also the only Korean artist with gold albums in the country. They’ve accomplished the feat with their albums “Love Yourself: Answer” and “Map of the Soul: Persona.”
