Watch: Yeo Jin Goo Questions The Ways Of Shin Ha Kyun's Mysterious Village In New Teaser For "Beyond Evil"
JBTC released a new teaser of the upcoming drama “Beyond Evil”!
“Beyond Evil” is a psychological thriller about two men who are willing to break rules and the law in their pursuit of a serial killer. As they attempt to track down the murderer, they must repeatedly ask themselves, “Who is the monster? Is it you? Is it me? Is it us?”
Yeo Jin Goo will star in the drama as Han Joo Won, a highly capable detective who seems to have everything going for him, but harbors a hidden secret. He ends up transferring to the local police station in the quiet village of Manyang, where former detective Lee Dong Shik (played by Shin Ha Kyun) has been demoted to doing menial work.
The new teaser begins with Han Joo Won standing alone in a field of reeds. In the background, Lee Dong Shik’s voice warns, “Here, there are no secrets. Somewhere, someone is watching everything.” The text, “Who is the monster among us?” flashes on screen as the teaser shows a sneak peek at the people of Manyang.
In addition to the police chief Nam Sang Bae (Chun Ho Jin), the teaser introduces Oh Ji Hwa (Kim Shin Rok), who graduated from the same school as Lee Dong Shik, Manyang’s butcher Yoo Jae Yi (Choi Sung Eun), and Park Jung Je (Choi Dae Hoon), who shows Han Joo Won a strange drawing.
Lee Dong Shik shares, “Whatever happens in here, we should settle in here. We can’t bear to have someone come in and look down on us. We first protect them and then see. That’s the Manyang people.” The townspeople also seem to be on guard around Han Joo Won since he’s new to the town. Han Joo Won’s difficult time in the new village is foreshadowed as Yoo Jae Yi throws an egg at Han Joo Won while screaming, “Open up.”
Lee Dong Shik also acts suspiciously in the new teaser. Park Jung Je asks Lee Dong Shik about a missing piece of evidence, but Lee Dong Shik appears to be hiding something. Han Joo Won asks, “Who killed them?” making viewers wonder what the secret hidden in the village of Manyang could be.
