Hwang In Yeop Talks About "True Beauty" Co-Stars, His Rising Popularity, And More

Hwang In Yeop expressed his gratitude towards viewers following the conclusion of tvN’s “True Beauty”!

The actor made his television debut in 2019 through KBS 2TV’s “The Tale of Nokdu,” and he starred in JTBC’s “18 Again” soon afterwards. He rose to fame after starring in tvN’s “True Beauty” as Han Seo Jun, a character who is very affectionate on the inside despite his cold appearance. Hwang In Yeop also charmed viewers with the songs “How Do You Do,” “To You My Light,” and “Flowerpot” and participated in the drama’s OST “It Starts Today.”

On February 10, Hwang In Yeop shared his thoughts on the drama’s conclusion through his agency KeyEast Entertainment. Regarding the drama’s conclusion, he shared, “I was very sad. After finishing our last filming, I stood in a daze for a long time.” For his most memorable line, Hwang In Yeop picked, “Please waver just once,” which he said to Lim Ju Gyeong (played by Moon Ga Young).

Regarding his chemistry with the cast, Hwang In Yeop shared, “Since Moon Ga Young and Cha Eun Woo are senior actors with a lot of experience, they were always warmly considerate of me, who is less experienced. I was able to act comfortably without getting nervous because of that, and I was really grateful in many aspects because they filled in the parts I was lacking and gave me advice.”

Hwang In Yeop also thanked viewers for loving his character Han Seo Jun. He added, “I think Seo Jun was able to receive love because all the actors of ‘True Beauty’ played their parts really well, creating great chemistry and synergy.”

The actor also talked about Han Seo Jun’s fashion, explaining that he wanted to portray both a wild vibe and a dandy look, represented by a leather jacket and a coat. Hwang In Yeop added, “I showcased an extravagant style by putting on various styles of earrings, which was Han Seo Jun’s trademark.” The actor also brought up Han Seo Jun’s sharp eye makeup.

Furthermore, Hwang In Yeop expressed surprise at his rising popularity, since his Instagram follower count grew quickly as the episodes progressed. He shared, “I’m concerned about how to repay this big love. I’ll work hard to show an even better side of me in the future.”
