Watch: TXT Performs Traditional Korean Instrument Version Of "Blue Hour" On KBS Lunar New Year Special
TXT performed a special remix of their latest title track in celebration of the Lunar New Year!
On February 11, KBS 2TV aired a Lunar New Year music special entitled “Joseon Pop Again.” The televised concert featured many different genres of music, including trot, hip hop, and more, with a particular spotlight on traditional Korean music.
In addition to “Miss Trot” winner and trot superstar Song Ga In, the lineup included TXT, who took the opportunity to perform a never-before-seen version of their recent hit “Blue Hour.” The rearrangement, which mixed the sound of traditional Korean instruments into the upbeat pop song, received a passionate response from those on set during filming.
Praising TXT’s performance as especially noteworthy, the producers of “Joseon Pop Again” commented, “K-pop and traditional Korean music melded together to create an exceptionally high-quality performance. In particular, it was a performance that featured an explosion of never-before-seen charms from TXT.”
Referring to the many fans across the globe who showed love for the song, they added, “The whole world coming together as one was a touching moment.”
